~Recreating the Women's Moonlodge for today's culture~

Please forward this to anyone you wish to be invited. Last month's first gathering was absolutely wonderful!

~ It is scheduled for Sunday April 6th, 2008, from 11 am to 5+ pm.
~ Set up will be from 9-11am.
~ A brief opening/orientation circle will be held at 12 noon.
~ 11-12 am and 12:30-3pm will be free-form, organic time, where you can do what you wish in the space.
~ Formal Circle will be held from 3-5pm
~ 5-7 pm will be community time (farewells, hugs, networking, resting after circle..) and break down of the space.

Located on the beautiful land of Auer Farm we will be held in the arms of Mother Earth while we retreat safely and honor the feminine spirit. The Red Tent will happen every month, on the Sunday closest to the New (dark) Moon.

Inside the Red Tent .........you will find a space to heal and be heard. To be your whole self. To go within and tap into your divine creative source. There will be space to rest, journal, cry, connect with sisters, breathe, meditate, and reconnect with what ties us all together, being woman. Womb or not, bleeding or not, all women from all walks of life are welcome.

Suggested Donations of $10.00 to $20.00 are requested but not mandatory.

There will be a beautiful storytellers chair, a greivance altar, a community altar, herbal teas and homemade soup. It is sacred space to go within and honor your divine feminine being. A place to remember.

This month Virginia will bless us with the special opportunity to participate in a group prayer vigil in light of the Moses Code. (Thanks Virginia!)

Young women of Menarche age are welcome for all of the day except the formal circle at 3:00 which is adults only.

This vision is held in the spirit of community and collaboration. Everyone who sets this up is working on a volunteer basis, which makes your attendance and contributions most valuable. Please take a look at the share list below and the garden volunteer dates to see where you are called to contribute to keeping this vision alive and well. It is vital to our culture and our next generation that we reclaim our traditions of healing and listening. We are a people starved for authenticity - but we don't have to be. The Red Tent Temple is a transformational movement.

RSVP's are important. We need to know how much soup to make or request, and who can bring what. When you refer to the share list below - please email us on what it is you are called to bring or do, so we can keep this day organized and wonderful.

Memoirs and story from the Red Tent

........The last woman read from the Goddess Book of days; she had counted the days until she got the one that corresponded to the present day of the RTT - the 69th day, due to leap year, and this is what it said.......

Adamu

"Woman's Blood Created the World"

The Chaldean's of ancient Mesopotamia called her All Matter. Her name means 'red', the life giving blood of the womb; menstruation. The root of the word is the Sanskrit r'tu, meaning 'ritual'. Ri means 'birth' suggesting that ritual began as blood rites associated with a woman's Moon Womb time, the first calendar living in a woman's belly. Menstruation or menses is Latin for "month". Where are you in your cycle today? Adamu calls out from her royal red hammock hanging between two luscious, full-fruiting date palms. She is smiling, sipping rose hip tea from a copper chalice inlaid with rubies. Her hair, rich mahogany-orange, is woven in braids and wrapped tiara-like on top of her head, which is adorned with crimson hibiscus. You snuggle in next to her like a child crawling back into mama's bed in the morning. Comfort and hugs are her gifts of love. Tell me your menstrual story, she inquires with soft concern. You begin slowly, talking of your first blood and the relationship you have with your bleeding time. Sharing the details of your story you feel centered, accepted, and loved unconditionally as you swing ever so slightly in rhythm to your breath. Wear something red today in honor of your cosmic lunar connections and the sisterhood of all women. Engage your menstrual mind for heightened visions, prophetic dreaming, and extrasensory perceptions. Release any culturally implanted shame about menstruation. Even if you no longer bleed, you cycle in memory. My menstrual cycle is sacred.

"My red bracelet fell off just a few days ago...a constant reminder of the magical afternoon I encountered at the Red Tent Temple. I was so disappointed that I would not be able to arrive until late in the day, but that disappointment quickly turned to amazement and gratitude as I walked in and instantly felt a powerful surge of love and peace sweep over me. There were women doing yoga as I entered the building. Just past them I could hear the murmurings of other women. As I approached I just remember the powerful sea of red; bright, beautiful red. There were women reading, and women drawing. There was a woman getting a back massage. There was a beautiful woman in the grief corner. There were women talking and some just sitting in silence. There were women eating and women resting. Everyone was just being in the moment. It was magical. I wish more had had the opportunity to arrive late in the day to see, and to feel, the magic that had been unfolding throughout the day. A-HO!"

Munay-Ki Rites
Summer, 2008
Dates to be announced soon!
Four Winds Lodge, Northfield, CT

Munay-Ki Rites: The Soul's Path to Freedom
The Munay-Ki are the nine great rites of initiation of the medicine way. The word munay means "I love you" or "BE AS THOU ART." The Munay-Ki are the nine gates that heal us and transform our human energy field into that of homo luminous.

For years the prophecies of the ancient Americas have spoken about the possibility of a new human appearing on the planet – one who lives free of fear and resides in his or her transcendent nature. The Munay-Ki are the luminous codes for the new human. They are delivered in the form of energetic transmissions. The ninth and final rite was delivered in the summer of 2006 in the Holy Mountains in the Andes. The nine initiations of the Munay-Ki have never been available before.

Red Tent Temple ~ Exquisite Success

When women gather, magic happens. Sunday's time in our first red tent was just that. Thank you to all the women who came, participated, and engaged. The room was infused with a deep vibrancy of women's truth.

The kitchen bubbled over with pots of delicious, nourishing soups and teas. The tears bowl received the letting go, which later watered the garden. Women shared counsel, silent moments of support, serendipitous moments of meeting or reading just the right words from a book picked up. Women took time to hug, to breathe, to write, pray, and do exactly what it is they needed.

During circle, we journeyed to our wombs and took the time to communicate with her, ask her what she needed, and to welcome and honor her wisdom. We passed the talking bowl and let out the buried words, fears, angers, and hopes.

We need time to assimilate, to be inside a chrysalis. To acknowledge our womb-cycle. The world cannot benefit from more stress, only from our centered, dream-connected, charged being.

Welcome Red Tent, to the New Millennium. You've been crumbled, rejected, ignored, and discarded.

No more! Every month on or near the new moon, there will be more and more of these red rooms, these temples of timeless wisdom. Welcome Maidens, Mothers, Crones, healers, weavers, all.

Blessed Be
